Someone in my area is selling this for $25. Claim It still works but not sure if the condition is worth it. What do you all think?

Hell yes. That one is a classic. Even if you have to replace some parts, it will be well worth it.

Not really, where at? I can take it to the landfill for the owner.

Yep. I have one close to it, 1990 model. I use it several times a week.

For $25, jump on that! There’s a whole group of people that’s all about restoring those early grills. Looks to be in good shape, I had one of those for ~15 years, and then gave it to someone, as I was gifted a newer Genesis. He used it for 7 or 8 years before he replaced it.

I have one, still works like new.

Heck yeah it’s worth that! If you don’t want it I’ll get it to go with the one I have
I have one of my deck I refurbished last year. Replaced almost all the internal components and wood.
The one in your picture look in great cosmetic shape.

Run at that deal, don’t walk

Yes! I have a red head that I bought new in the 90’s and still use weekly. Parts are readily available (except for the end cap piece I broke in a recent move for the swing up table, but I will get it 3d printed if needed).
This looks like an early 90’s Genesis withe the wire vs wood slats under the body though I could be completely wrong. (Need the serial number).Based on the condition of the wood it’s either been previously restored or was overall taken care of most of its life and just needs a little love and a deep clean and a couple parts to fully restore.
For the love of God, buy this!

I’ll give you $75 for it

That’s a hell of a deal — run don’t walk. Back when Weber steel was stronger and US made I believe. Treated well that thing will outlast most of us.

25$?!?! I don’t even need a propane and I’d snag the fuck out of that

For sure $25 is pretty much free and it looks beautiful I bet everything is solid and for few more bucks you can get stainless steel grates flavorisers and burn tubes and have a new grill.

This is the grill I grew up with, I’d kill for one.
