I think I read some time ago Bourdain regretted saying some of the things he did early in his career. it was a means of trying to cover up his insecurities and jealousy. He talked shit about so many people he would come to befriend.

I know he was playing himself but it’s crazy how easy it is to hear his character in Archer saying this. I wonder if he wrote his own lines or at least assisted?

Having worked with some of Jamie Oliver’s colleagues- this is pretty spot on. They guy was working in river cafe when someone was filming something, he hadn’t that much experience, some tv people saw his cute smooth shy innocent face and thought- that’s great for tv! And here we are. The dude has no Fred. Which in this day and age is honestly fine. Most fucking tik tok and Instagram influencers who do cooking have no clue what they’re doing either. Just ignore them and focus on folks making great food. I hate Jamie Oliver though- he just has a punchable face.

Tony always wrote and said what he was thinking. You could hear his voice in his writing. But him telling David Chang that he would be a bad father is still the most striking to me. Lol, poor Dave, even your idol doesn’t respect you

As someone who grew up in the 00s in the UK I just want to say fuck you to Jamie Oliver, that fat faced smarmy prick who took Coca Cola out of school vending machines (but left equally as sugary oasis) and chips out of school canteens. May you burn in hell one day.
