I guess cranberry season is officially over where I live, I can’t find them anywhere even though I normally can this time of year. My friend’s wedding is this week and I now have no idea how I’m going to decorate her cake. H E L P
This is the practice cake I made a couple weeks ago. It needs red on it for the color scheme, and the bride isn’t the biggest fan of raspberries.

Cherries?
You may be able to find frozen cranberries.
This would be time consuming, but what about making “cranberries” out of gum paste as a last resort? The shape wouldn’t be too hard, but it would just take time to color and shade them. But I feel like after you coat them in sugar the effect would be convincing enough!
Chocolate covered somethings? (pistachios, espresso beans)? Spray em red, roll them in sugar.
Not sure where you are.. Vons, Ralph’s, Albertsons for frozen. I have a bag of frozen in my freezer.
Red currants would be a bit smaller but give the same effect. Or what about some kind of small red candy?
Saw some cakes in this sub recently that used pomegranate arils and were stunning. Not sure if it would work for the same border style, but interspersed with the pearls could be lovely
Did you try online? I just checked, and Amazon can have them to my home in hours
This looks BEAUTIFUL! How to you apply the pearls to the side?
Do a red chocolate drip on top before applying the white beads…
Edible flowers?
What about artificial cranberries from Amazon? With strict instructions to the venue to remove the berries before serving (bonus if you’re also attending to double check the same).
This happened to a family member, she asked a neighbor and they had a whole bag!
Maybe post on Facebook to see if anyone local to you has any leftovers or were planning to throw out?
