I mean, if it’s what he wants to do I don’t see the harm. Eat your own food

Bread with sushi? No, that’s not normal.
Yes, that bothers me more than the fork.
metalguy91
The bread, the knife and fork, the bottle of Maggi, I just… I don’t try to judge but this, it makes me feel so many emotions, none of them good
pro_questions
Are they having it with Maggi instead of soy sauce or is that just on the table?
Shizanketsuga
Oh, come on! There even is Maggi on the table. That’s basically just one blitzkrieg shy of the most aggressively German way to eat sushi.
Zanshin_18
That loaf of bread is out of place.
asexualjayparkstan
Eating sushi with knife and fork also having with bread and maggi, that’s not normal. It’s basically an abomination.

I’m not one to tell others how they should eat their meals.
It’s not the traditional way, I don’t eat it like that, but I would let the man just have his meal in peace.

I don’t mind the knife. Some people can’t eat a piece in one bite or don’t chew well enough that they end up choking on the seaweed. The bread is a bit weird though. Never really liked the idea of mixing startches like rice and bread. Unless he is eating it after the sushi, since a tray usually never fills me up anyways. Maggi seems unnecessary, I thought those trays usually come with soy sauce packets in the first place. Maggi is like a last resort substitute for soy. Although soy sauce should be a staple ingredient in your pantry. Unless he likes the taste of maggi then you do you I guess.

It’s normal if you don’t know how to use chopsticks lol

This image feels slightly cursed.

Maggi seasoning is the Swiss equivalent of soy sauce. Try Maggi seasoning hot. About 1,000 SHU. Pure umami because of MSG.

Arrest that man

I mean, is not normal, but is his food. I don’t see the problem.
Jack__Flap
Why is the bread broken up all over the table? Is he a bird?
designmur
I mean, you’re allowed to desecrate grocery store sushi in the privacy of your own home. But yes, it’s wrong lol.
Unsatisfactory_bread
I feel like a bastard using my fingers sometimes instead of chopsticks. 🤣

I’m assuming this is somewhere in Europe like Estonia or Moldova, so ya this tracks…

No, nothing about this photo is normal. Nothing.
Disrespectful_Cup
Wait, you mean your dad is enjoying sushi, and because he isn’t eating them *correctly*, you run to reddit to make fun of him? Or chastise him for enjoying sushi?
Even posting it to this sub is weird. Let people enjoy things.
ReaverRiddle
I use chopsticks personally, but I don’t care about this. I like sushi because I like it as a food, I like how it tastes etc. Eating sushi is not like some aesthetic experience to me. The utensil is just a tool.
