Just received my new Classic 3 and it’s been 5 days since I submitted a Warranty Claim.
I’m happy to caulk it or whatever, but I figured my $2000 purchase should be perfect, ya know?
Any thoughts?

I wouldn’t accept it or try and fix it. Definitely a warranty clean and replaced, you did the right thing.

100% I would hold off! I know I’m the same when I get a new toy but that’s a hole and needs sorted.

Replacement for sure.
As far as use, since it is towards the bottom near the ash tray you should be fine to use as is once you put everything inside.

Their customer service team is top notch. Register your product on-line, snap a couple pics and you’ll get an email in a day or less telling you that they are shipping out a replacement base.

Warranty claim and cook on. Could take a lot of time before that cracks! Enjoy it while they process your claim. Do nothing to that hole. You documented it. Enjoy some good meat now! B
