Continuing the vegan taco trend. I saw this a couple of months ago and sent to friends and no one guessed.

  1. Chicken thighs $20 more than shrimp and salmon??

  2. Champagne_of_piss

It’s not even from a ‘special farm’ like the salmon and it’s 20 dollars more dear? Lol, lmao.

  3. Chapesman

Someone clearly made an error when typing the menu.  Calm down people

I once saw a $78 lobster roll in Maine. I had been looking forward to a lobster roll the entire trip.

I didn’t get it, because I realized in advance that unless it was the best lobster roll on the entire fucking planet earth, I’d be irate. Got a $16 salad instead and the $20 lobster roll near the bay. Some people are so fucking high on their own supply these days.

  5. how in the world it’s $50 for chicken? lol what the fuck

  6. hisglasses66

For this!?!!! Like $16 cause I’m being generous. But I don’t buy chicken at restaurants ever

  7. ieatlikesh1t

🤣🤣🤣 I specifically order chicken thighs for family meal because there is almost nothing cheaper. This has to be at a casino or another amenities type restaurant. Wild.

  8. East-Specialist-4847

This would be one course of a $35-$40 dollar spread

  9. DonJulioTO

This made no sense to me, so I looked it up. The menu is in USD, and the restaurant is in Santa Monica CA. It doesn´t seem to be on their current menu, unsurprisingly.

  10. ArcticSwag

I thought my guess of $24 seemed on the high end, but $48 is wild. Can we talk about this $18 cheesecake as well?

  11. FatherofCharles

This has to be a joke. No way people are paying $50 for a chicken thigh and rice

  12. -im-blinking

Before I looked at the second image I guess 24ish. 48 is nuts.

  13. hawg_farmer

I’m going down to my chicken coop and ogle about $500 of chicken thighs.

But the hens are laying eggs, so it’s a hard choice. /s

  14. Looks like shit even for $20. Skin not even rendered, plated by the school lunch lady.

  15. Ok-Needleworker-5657

I’d go somewhere else tbh. That’s an insane price, especially to not have some fancy artisanal farm’s name in front of it. Didn’t even bother to plate it nicely lol

  16. Psychological_Lie336

Haha I live in Bali and I can tell ya this is not Balinese chicken. Balinese chicken goes for about $1.80 lol

  17. Withafloof

That’s worth maybe $15-20, just because it’s all dressed up and fancy. Chicken is literally one of the least expensive meats, and rice is so cheap in bulk.

  18. Professional_Scale66

The chickens name was “Gale”, she went to a montasori school in Berkeley before getting her PHD in physics from MIT

  19. Intelligent-Use-7313

Think I’ve made better in my air fryer, I said $14 but was expecting like $30.

  20. Cube-in-B

That whole dish looks like it came out of my mom’s kitchen (my mom can’t cook)

  21. lilBalzac

It’s a long flight from Bali, and the chickens fly Emirates First Class.

  22. $16.

Looks great, but anything over $20 it’s a fuckin scam.
I just don’t understand how people make these ridiculous price points.

Nothing you do to a chicken would make it worth almost $50. (IMHO)

I know what sub I’m on, and this is gonna get down voted. Just had to share anyway

  23. cabezatuck

Depends, where did the chicken come from? How was it raised? Who were its friends? Acquaintances? Enemies?

  24. Where the hell are these places and how are they able to stay in business? Who would buy this garbage? The cost to make this is literally under 5$

  25. satchmo-mcwigwam

This is crazy expensive. With Ora king on the menu it’s probably a high quality chicken (green circle whatever) but still this is a money grab. I have a hard time selling half a chicken for more than 33$ in a HCOL area
