Had to check out what all the fuss was about after reading about it here – it’s a very fair price for the quality and quantity of sandwich. As has been mentioned, there are two sizes for each sandwich, either a half or whole. They are exactly 50%/2x in size, by the cashier they have the actual bread to show you the difference before you order. The half (pictured here) is the ideal size for lunch and it was outstanding.

The bread to ingredients ratio is perfect, as I’m not a fan of overly bready sandwiches, it has a nice crunch to it but still chewy, didn’t fall apart as you ate it either (like Combo Grinder did, which my friend got). Turkey was moist, basil pesto was flavorful, garlic mayo was pronounced, I was wondering if cheddar was the right choice of cheese but it worked. Can’t go wrong with arugula either, my favorite leafy green.

We visited on Saturday afternoon and parking wasn’t ideal but we found a spot down a residential street a few blocks away. Line was almost to the door but it went surprisingly quick (less than 15 mins) and 3 sandwiches came out ready in about the same amount of time. It’s a small store with limited standing room, all seats were always occupied but people don’t linger so there was always seats becoming available about every 5 minutes (3 bar chair seats became available right before we ordered and they were still open by the time we got to them). Seems like a lot of people order to go.

I’d still put Lorenzo Beverly Hills over it (it’s my favorite sandwich in LA) but I was really happy with it, highly recommend it if you are in the area and are craving a sandwich.
