First time making onion jam (?) so I chose the biggest onion in the house as a trial run for it, just winging it.
Tomorrow, I shall use all the other onions of similar size (4 total) and make a larger batch because by god this is delicious 🤤 A little bit of the jam goes a long ways, but I regret not making more…
Paired with Flagship cheese and Ritz crackers.

Jam (?) Recipe:
– 1lb thinly sliced sweet yellow onion
– 1 ½ tbsp Irish cream butter
– 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 ½ tbsp sugar
Reduce onion, butter, and salt in a medium pan on medium heat until soft golden can be seen throughout, stirring occasionally. Add vinegar and continue to reduce until a medium golden color is seen (or until vinegar no longer lets off a smell). Add sugar and continue to reduce until caramelized. Bon appetit mon ami!
Bone apple tea! Do update with your 4 onions too!
