Try not to forget that by and large this sub is populated by people who are *very* proud of their spice tolerance…as if it’s a talent like playing the piano or powerlifting. So proceed at your own risk.

Once prepped, add some cheese chunks, a Red Leicester or a Mild Cheddar, some chopped up red birds eye chillis (uncooked), some chilli oil, two soil boiled eggs, a little extra samyang sauce on the eggs, and a sprinkling of extra sesame seeds, and you’re ready!

First time i ate the 2X, i added some plain yogurt to take the heat down. Having tried so many foods claiming to be hot that weren’t, it was a surprise how hot 2X is.

Yeah, this shits hot lol

I can survive it but only just barely, and I cry out of my nose the whole time. It’s so god damn hot.
FckUrConversionThrpy
it’s really good though, right?
RoccosModernKitchen
I can take the heat but the taste of ass and extract are too much for me.

I don’t remember of it’s this one or the one with the black packet, they taste sooo gooooooooddddd.

If I don’t drain the water and eat it like a soup it’s about perfect. If I drain the water and add the sauce to just the noodles it’s definitely pretty painful.

absolutely love this stuff, i try to always have a few packs left

If you drain the water and add a scoop of mayo, it creates a thick sauce that’s less spicy and all delicious 😋

😅 there is one that’s like habanero something that I got for my kids. Needless to say they did not enjoy it lol

I’ve seen a handful of posts about this and most still have water in the bowl. I hope people realize it’s suppose to be eaten dry? It is so much hotter that way.

Wait for the secondary burn lol. I love buldak but 2x is an exercise in self hatred

You should eat this once a week (but no more, it has too much salt) and you will quickly have good spice tolerance.

I love this stuff! Your tolerance will go up over time, but it’s still always like:
Take a bite, breathe for a little, cool down, take another bite, repeat

I finally found this stuff at my local Meijer Grocery store. I prepared it just like the label said (water drained), and it was a pleasant surprise! Decent flavor and hot, but not too hot. It IS Ramen so I wasn’t expecting gourmet. As expected it might be a little too salty for some people but was just fine for me. IMO the 2X hit the right balance of heat and flavor for something off the grocery store shelf. I seriously doubt I will find a hotter Ramen sitting on the shelf of our Michigan grocery store!

I like this, but it’s not for those starting their journey into the spicy world, it’s intense.

This sub consistently posting these is making me want to try it. I eat my Thai food “Thai hot” and pretty regularly make salsa with habaneros or ghost peppers (or both)

At some point, flavor has to matter. This hear level made me ask “What am I doing?”

Welcome to your dooooom. Enjoy.

Yep. That stuff doesn’t mess around. It’s hot.

It’s perfect with green onion and a little shredded mozzarella!
DelciasFinalStand
Well, this is going on my grocery list

Best advice I’ve ever seen on Reddit … throw a tablespoon or two of cream cheese in there. It’s still scorching hot, but not gut burning hot.

Curious to try~~~

Its hot yes but man I can’t get behind the flavor.

Draining the water and mixing it is pretty much the upper limit for my acceptable tolerance. It is f’n hot! I gave a pack to a friend of mine who is also a spice-head and his wife took a bite. I think when she was able to breathe again she yelled ‘What the hell is wrong with you two???!’.

Should be glad it wasn’t a x3 spicy one.
