Not sure if this defective or what, but the base on this grill doesn’t seem adequate for holding a 200lb ceramic weight. The screw holes in the legs of the base were not threaded, which means that the center can’t really snug up against the legs. This seems really, really dumb. Is this thing broken or just cheap? If cheap, where can I get a base that actually works?
Konnected Joe base seems flimsy/dangerous

Something isn’t installed correctly for sure.
My buddy has one and it doesn’t move like that at all. Something was done wrong.
Revisit your instructions, looks like you skipped a step.
I have this base and it doesn’t move at all
This is on the verge of disaster. My blood pressure just shot up watching this.
Better set that thing on the ground before that base collapses.
The upper support ring is missing. You can see it in this video at 2 minutes, its certainly looks to not be there:

Of course it does. It wasn’t installed correctly.
Yep that is not installed correctly.
For our Konnected Joe, we found difficulty in securely putting together the base but got there in the end. U prob need 2 people. The design to put it together isn’t so straight forward (unlike the regular Kamado Joes), but once it is set it very secure.
Yea that isn’t right. Mine is solid.
The new kamados dance, eh?
So there is a chance for the top ring the legs were not inserted over the slots. Trying to describe it, but it looks like potentially the legs were aligned with the ring and the screws were inserted. It should hook over so that it stabilizes.
It should hook over the where the ring and the leg meet.
It’s pretty stable before you install the screw/washer/locking nut. I hope this makes sense in been awhile since I put one together.
Edit: forgot to add
I can’t add a picture, but page 4 step 1 of the manual; leg (18) should slide over the part of the ring (19)
The legs are compromised and must be fastened. If not possible it might best be suited for a table
you have not fastened the bolts enough. They are difficult to fasten, but you really need to do it.
I hope you will not have the same issues as the ones I am having with the Connected Joe: both the AFS and auto-fan thingy trips the electrical circuit on which the Joe is plugged in. So far, no luck in fixing the issue. Waiting for new parts to be shipped to me (Australia)
