Hi guys,
I found this Konnected Joe from a local Home Depot. The full price is $1,699, but this unit is 1) abandoned at the corner 2) dusty, and 3) has a broken heat deflector.
Has anyone ever tried to negotiate with HD? How did it go? I know some store has a clearance sale (I think I saw $1,100 for Konnected Joe), but I wonder if I can bring it down to even lower.

Gotta be in it to win it. Lowball them and when you get a no, Gondor the price you actually want to pay. See how that goes
I’ve never had success. I was ready to pay $1000 for a classic Joe 2 and asked them to price match to a local vendor that was selling it for $999, local pickup. They refused to honor it. I got the manager involved and everything, they still said no. The price went down to $899 a mere day later. I ended up getting so annoyed that I bought used off Craigslist.
I would try and speak to someone in the dept. Point out that this looks like it’s been the store for a long time given it’s tucked away and pretty dirty. Then go ahead and show the broken deflector.
I would then see if they are open to offers to get it off their floor and out the door. This person might need to go to a manager which is when you put in your offer saying you’re happy to pay X as is.
When they come back ask what the lowest price would be and see how close you can get to each other.
Just be calm and nice and don’t let them think your trying to get one over them. They probably want it gone tbh
they have one at my home depot for $1020 right now…
