Behold the masterpiece that is “THE POUNDER”, with a cascade of molten cheese. A true testament to decadence and savoriness. This picture was from a couple of years ago, when I suffered from depression, had a really bad day at work, and wanted to indulge myself. Is it bad for you? Yes. That’s why I haven’t had one since, but it looked so good I just had to take a photo. I was also into watching food challenge videos at that time, which partly inspired this choice. Are there better burgers out there? Yes, but this one was fucking delicious. I know a lot of you on this sub think McDonald’s is garbage, and a lot of the time it can be, and you aren’t getting the quality you typically expect for your money, but this behemoth was a glaring exception. Cooked fresh to order, with perfectly melted cheese and the correct proportion of condiments. A feast for the stomach, and the senses. A heavenly experience. It nearly cured my depression.

Dude, that last sentence when you said it nearly cured your depression… I fucking feel that, I’m relatively depressed most of the time but every once in a while, I’ll have a meal so good. It’ll remind me that there’s plenty of things worth living for and stuff as silly as it seems to get that from food… Sometimes just a reminder of the nice things in life like enjoying a perfect burgeror a perfect steak or just good cooking from someone you love can be all it takes to make the perpetual sadness go away if not just for a little while
