My brother and SIL visited from Australia. They treated us to the 02 and 04 vintages of Grange that they schlepped in their 24 hour ordeal. These were bucket list wine for me and my bro is always up for an experience. Both decanted for a few hours. Really enjoyed them. The 02 was more restrained and perhaps could have used a bit more time. The 04 was fresher with more black fruits up front. Not great with tasting notes so apologies if this falls flat with the true swirling crew.
It was great to taste the zenith of Shiraz. For those who love Aussie wines, worth trying at least once. Not sure if I would spend what these bottles cost US. In my limited experience, after $150, I don’t get much more taste wise. Maybe my budget and palate are limited. Definitely worth trying once. Cheers!

Such a nice decanter!
Bin 389 is always worth a try a try at a relatively budget price.
I tried it once about10 years ago and thought it quite overrated.
