Layered Rice Dish

Rice Layer

    •    2 tablespoons ghee
    •    2 tablespoons olive oil
    •    2 cups Egyptian rice
    •    2 cups American rice
    •    4 cups water
       .     2 teaspoons salt
       .     2 teaspoons vegetable powder

Corn Layer

    •    1/4 cup olive oil
    •    Corn
    •    1/2 teaspoon salt

Pea Layer

    •    1/4 cup olive oil
    •    Peas
    •    1/2 teaspoon salt

Carrot Layer

    •    1/4 cup olive oil
    •    Diced carrots
    •    1/2 teaspoon salt

Ground Meat

    •    1 small onion, finely chopped
    •    2 tablespoons ghee
    •    1 pound ground beef
    •    1 teaspoon Himalayan or sea salt
    •    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    •    1 teaspoon 7 spices or mixed spices
    •    Toasted almonds and pine nuts for garnish

Arrange a layer of rice and a layer of vegetables, then top with the ground meat, pine nuts, and almonds.

    •    Omit the ground meat for a vegetarian option
