NEW YORK (PIX11) – Alternate side parking rules will be suspended from Christmas Eve throughout Christmas Day this year.

Rules will be suspended on Tuesday to facilitate winter weather operations, according to 311. Parking meters will remain in effect on Christmas Eve but will be suspended on Christmas Day.

Light snow is expected to blanket New York and New Jersey on the morning of Christmas Eve, with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s.

Following Christmas, alternate side parking rules and parking meters will also be suspended for New Year’s Day.
