On Christmas Day in Charlotte, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse. Well, except for those rare few restaurants open on the holiday.
These restaurants, mainly at some of Queen City’s finest hotels, are serving a range of pre-fixe and a-la-carte food menus on December 25.
If you want to grab a drink or a post-present-opening pint, there are a handful of local bars open for merrymaking in the evening, too — Brawley’s Beverage, Thomas Street Tavern, Common Market, and Comet Grill.
Christmas is the culmination of a month’s work (online shopping is work) — it only makes sense to relinquish kitchen duties and just let someone else do the work for once.
