Preface…I have been a huge FN/N&N fan since the Gil Nickel days. Single handedly the reason I fell in love with Napa cabs.

My wife bought this when we started dating. Didn't realize how much it had appreciated until we drained it, but man it was absolutely the perfect time to enjoy. This was fully developed in every way possible. Cork disintegrated as we opened it (stored properly since purchase) Decanted an hour or so, and that deep dark juice with that brick top just screamed it's my time. Nose was thick with leather, smoke, and dark berry as you'd expect, and legs as long as an Alaskan summer day. Sediment was minimal, surprisingly, and despite the cork struggle we didn't drop any in.

Tasting notes…what a bomb of flavor. Coated the palate with a rich blend of blackberry, licorice, faint smoke, and just the right amount of tannic acidity to balance the sweetness. Finish was long, and my god was it smooth going down. If you have this…now is the time. Don't look at the $500 valuation. It's true value is enjoying a marvel of what new world wine is about. Made those cowboy ribeyes shine.

They've still got it…and I'd pay today's prices to experience it again.

Did you say $500? Is that in Jamaican dollars?
