Looking for a Christmas meal without the hassle of cooking?
Some restaurants and grocery stores in Abilene have meals available to preorder for your holiday celebration.
Here is what is offered:
Cracker Barrel, 1602 Texas Highway 351, offers heat and serve dinners and catered meals for preorder.
They offer ham and prime rib heat and serve options with a variety of sides for tables of four to 10 people. Heat and serve meals are available as supplies last.
Golden Corral, 4357 S. Danville Drive, has holiday feasts to go which include a roasted turkey, glazed ham or bone-in pork roast. Each meal includes a variety of sides, a dozen yeast rolls and a whole pie.
Orders for the holiday feast must be made 72 hours in advance.
Denny’s — with locations at 3314 S. Clack St. and 120 E. Overland Trail — will have a turkey bundle available for preorder.
Christmas dinner to go is available to order Dec. 16-23. Pickup is at least 24 hours after order is placed.
Cotton Patch, 3302 S. Clack St., will offer a Homestyle for the Holidays meal deal until Dec. 22.
Holiday orders are available for pickup Dec. 20-24 by 2 p.m.
Entree options for the heat and serve meals are roasted boneless turkey and holiday ham. The meals also come with a variety of sides dependent on the meal size.
Market Street, 4450 Buffalo Gap Road, has four entree options for their preorder holiday meals.
Pick from prime rib, roasted turkey, sweet sliced ham and turkey breast for your family’s heat and serve meal.
All dinner orders require a 24-hour notice. Holiday dinners are available for pickup while supplies last until Dec. 20.
United Supermarkets — with locations at 3301 S. 14th St., 920 N. Willis St., 2160 Pine St. and 1095 N. Judge Ely Blvd. — will offer holiday meals for preorder until Dec. 20. All orders require 24 hours’ notice before pickup.
Entree options include smoked turkey, spiral cut ham, turkey breast and baked turkey.
