Nice video, but why did you touch the mans head so strong. This is offending in Turkish culture. You should know it as you are from the region
I envy you for the invitation to Hamsi pilav, which is an iconic dish from the Black Sea. But if Hamsi are really fresh, i.e. the catch of the day, you even could marinate them and eat them raw. This rare delicacy has been prepared mostly by Greek families who once lived in the region. The cleaned Hamsi filets are seasoned with salt and pepper, and then a mixture of seared red onions, currants and bay leaves is briefly heated in red wine vinegar and poured over the fish. Let it cool and sit for a while before serving it as an appetizer together with one or two slices of lemon.
