I tried to caramelise onions for the first time ever.
Not quite sure if it looks right it seems kind of burnt here and there, so I reckon I need to ask the experts. It took me 2 hours. Tastes really good though.

Those look really good, hard to tell from the picture how dark you got some of them but if they taste good then you are good. Burned onions are incredibly bitter and just a few will ruin the batch if you actually burned them so if they taste good you did fine. Maybe just stir a bit more often if you want more even color. Good job though save all that excess butter/fat it will be delicious to cook with.
