I don’t know yet because I have not grown enough! So far though, I’m loving what might as well be my own sort of landrace because last year I grew out a bunch of unknowns I harvested from my husbands aunt’s farm! It is all sorts of fun colors and sizes, with varying flavor.
No idea if there was a bit of everything or just a couple such as sweet, flint, flour, dent.
Should make some good grits in any case.
I think it was mostly sweet varieties with a couple flint…

I love native seed source. They are a wonderful organization!

I grow Gourdseed for field corn. For sweet corn I usually do Honey & Cream.

Hopefully, “Montauk” from Johnnys will be a new favorite.

This year will be the first that I bother to grow more than a few dozen; got good results doing sweetcorn (Peaches & Cream) in an un-amended part of the yard last year, so am gonna do a decent sized corn patch this year, and figured I’d do it with some good seeds from Johnny’s.

In the past, Peaches & Cream and Silver Queen have done best for me….but I’ve never done much sweetcorn due to lack of space (maybe a couple hundred sq ft at the very most)

I was surprised at how well corn did in my native soil (very heavy, and mostly rocks) last year, so it was a bit of an eye-opener for me.
