
These tiny, poppable, onions that I see in many Indian food videos look so fresh and inviting. I am considering growing some onions next season, and I am wondering if they're just picked early or if they're a specific type of "ohnnn-yohnnn". They look delicious and seems like they'd pickle well.

A lot of south East Asian recipes use similar looking alliums! I always need to see the food being made to make it right, as those recipes will often call for “6 onions” (or something like that) and what they really mean is 6 of these cute little things. I made a satay sauce a few years ago that was like 80% onion because of that mistake lol — it was not bad, but also not really satay
