fruity smell when I opened the bottle was suprised. Taste apple and melon. Not super acidic like I expected. Haven’t had any whites in a while and was expecting something real acidic. Overall great drink. Would drink again.

Wine-2022 Donnachiara Fiano di Avellino

As someone who is newer into wine I am tasking through Italy. Have had Prosecco, Chianti, moscato, moscato d asti and now fiano. Any recs for what to try next?

  1. Love donnachiara. Their Greco di tufo is one of my favorites whites.

After Fiano, I’d check out Fallanghina and Greco d Tufo.

I’ll have to check this out. I just picked up a bottle of Taurasi by that same producer.

  4. Soave, Vernaccia, Grillo, Etna Bianco, Vermentino…for whites

Brunello di Montalcino, Barbera, Barbaresco, Nero d’Avola, Amarone…for reds

So many great wine varieties and styles in Italy definitely a great country to explore
