Honestly not sure how good (or bad) this is. No coupons on this run but I think I did pretty good on proteins. This isn’t a grocery run with a meal plan in mind for the upcoming week so it may look a little disjointed.
I used the haul flair but this is probably more of a “this is what I have to deal with on a regular basis given current food prices”. Wife bought a dozen eggs for roughly $7 for a dozen. Eggs in particular are horrible. Pork seems to be the most consistent cheapest alternatives in most cases, though IMHO whole chickens broken down even when not on sale is cost effective too.

If you want to save money, stop buying so much meat. And stop buying disposable cookware.
Location NE Ohio, Giant Eagle grocery store. Receipt in 2nd photo
Interesting how different egg prices can be even in a similar region. I just bought a dozen eggs from a Giant Eagle last night for $4.98. I’ve mostly been sticking to chicken from Sam’s Club which is usually around $3 per lb or less for meat.
Half off the ribs and bacon are still just average price, giant eagle is expensive, check out Aldi if there is one near you.

For $48 – that’s terrible.
I shop at Aldi, almost exclusively now – and this is about $25. I’m also located in southern Georgia.
I would invest in glass bake ware that will last forever instead of wasting money on disposables
Thanks Biden!
Because you mostly got bacon and ribs. If I get steak my bill is higher too
Where we live in Missouri Aldi‘s is not always the best priced a lot of times we use the grocery store apps or they’ll send us coupons and the savings is better. We have chain grocery stores where we live. Schnucks Dierbergs are the major ones. Along with Walmart.
grocery store profits must be wild rn
Honestly, if you remove the cake pans, coffee filters, and cherries that isn’t a bad deal. The cherries and coffee filters tend to be half of that price elsewhere. Walmart sells the aluminum cake pans 4 for $3.48 as well. At that point, you are paying for convenience.
These kinds of pics should feature the most expensive items in the fro2nt. Don’t hide your porterhouse behind a stack of beans.
$42 of the $48 dollars is meat. You could eat less meat and get a nice kind of bread.
All that money just to follow your arteries
