Ok so…. I asked my sister for some of her starter thinking “I’ll work up to bread”

Now I did cinnamon rolls and those were great, did focaccia and that did not ferment long enough. I fed my starter yesterday and she was READY I didn’t know what to try so I just went with it and made a loaf.

A few things I learned.

1) I probably need a banneton
2) I need tea towels
3) I need to buy name brand parchment paper 😣
4) steak knives are not ideal for scoring.

Despite having to do my final proof in a glass bowl and also not having any tea towels and also not flowering ANYTHING and also parchment paper getting glued to the bottom of the loaf and having to pick it off for like a solid hour. I think she turned out OK! Rustic

Ingredients
475 grams all-purpose flour 3 1/2 cups
100 grams starter active and bubbly (1/2 cup) 325 grams water 1 1/3 cups
10 grams salt 2 teaspoons
