Got a chefs choice sashimi sampler and some tuna (toro) nigiri, but I don't think I've ever had this white fish before. Had a nice bite into chew, with a slightly sweet taste. Any eagle eyed experts among? It was super good and I'd like to order it specifically next time, but not sure what it is 🙂

Eat just that piece. I posted here. I won’t repeat myself. Just Google it. That amount is fine. I invite you to post tomorrow.

Looks like escolar, as others said. A little is fine, a lot will have you “running” so to speak.

I like the stuff, but more than about 4 pieces of Nigiri will have me in the restroom. So its normally just a two piece limit for me.

Not sure where you’re located but albacore is the only species allowed to be marketed as “white tuna” in the U.S… that is probably escolar

I like escolar but I’ve confirmed the GI issues for myself 😅🙃

Escolar, don’t order more than that! Delicious as all hell but has a compound that causes intestinal upset! Under 6 oz fine but I personally only order about 4 oz.
