**Beef Stew**
1kg Beef
2 Rich beef stock cubes
500ml Strong Brown Ale or Stout
1 Large carrot
1 Large leek
1 Large onion
4 Cloves of Garlic
Fresh thyme, sage and rosemary
½ tsp Salt
1 tbsp Chicken bouillon
2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Browning sauce
1 tsp Liquid seasoning
100g Plain flour to coat beef
3 tbsps Sunflower oil
A few splashes of red wine to deglaze
2 heaped tsps of corn starch mixed with 100ml of cold water
**Dumplings**

175ml Semi skimmed Milk
60g Butter
100g Beef suet
1 Large egg
100g Finely chopped leek greens
