This delicious dish is so easy, and the results so delectable, that it has one of my treasured discoveries from Puglia. The dressing is essentially completed in advanceβ€”fresh tomatoes roasted with seasoned bread crumbs. When you are ready to eat, just slide these intensely savory tomatoes on top of the fusilli in a big bowl and toss; the steaming pasta, just out of the pot, does the final cooking all by itself. Buon Gusto!

  1. I can't wait to try this. πŸ˜‹ I'm going to try putting the tomatoes and onions in the air fryer so that I don't use my oven if it is a hot day when I make it. This looks absolutely delicious. thank you for sharing. "tutti a tavola a mangiare!". Ciao

  2. Looks very delicious, Lidia. My Nonon would make all different pasta dishes. This I am going to make. Ciaó 😊❀

  3. I'd like to try this by roasting the tomatoes and onions on the grill. I wouldn't need to heat up my kitchen with the oven!!

  4. This looks so simple and delicious — perfect to make using tomatoes out of the garden

  5. Ciao, yes, that's true, no one needs olive oil in Pasta water, it's better to use a bigger Pot with more water to boil.. many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe πŸ™ƒ

  6. I watch because I love Lydia. My cooking has become instinctive from years of her teaching. Just a huge, THANK YOU! Dear Lady.

  7. I roast whole cloves of garlic (a lot of cloves!), canned artichoke hearts, tomatoes and onions together and toss with the pasta. I season them with dry Italian seasoning before roasting. I eat it with Parmesan cheese. I love it especially during the winter.

  8. The recipe on the video only has about half the ingredients of the recipe in the link, but is tasty. I used herb and garlic goat cheese since I didn't have ricotta salatta. It came out tasty and creamy. I think this base recipe shows how versatile it is.

  9. Made this the next day after seeing your video. It was totally delicious!! We put in whole cloves of garlic to roast.

  10. I just picked up some ricotta salutations, and now I can't wait to try this and taste the cheese! Thank you (again!) Lidia!❀❀

  11. Tomato skins from most American markets are like plastic wrap. Seems like you need to remove the skin.

  12. The recipe on your website that I got to by clicking the link above, is different. It's "Long Fusilli with Roasted Tomatoes" and it doesn't mention the tomato paste, and it doesn't have any onions. It also seems to have other ingredients, like capers, in the dish. Is there a written recipe for the one you cook in this video?

  13. The dish looks delicious, and I will try to recreate it. However, the recipe and links are not related to the video dish.
