Homemade Turkish Tantuni Recipe 🌯🇹🇷

🕒 Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Total: 35 minutes

Ingredients
🥩 300g beef or lamb, finely chopped
🧅 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
🍅 2 medium tomatoes, diced
🌿 A handful of fresh parsley, chopped
🌶️ 1 green pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
🫒 2 tbsp olive oil
🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
🌮 4-5 flatbreads or tortillas
🍋 Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Meat 🥩
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped meat and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).

Add Flavor 🧅🍅
Toss in the sliced onion and cook for 2 minutes until slightly soft.
Add diced tomatoes and green pepper (if using). Cook for another 5 minutes until the mixture is juicy.

Season It Right 🧂🌶️
Sprinkle salt, pepper, and any additional spices (paprika or chili flakes work well). Stir well.

Warm the Flatbreads 🌮
Warm your flatbreads or tortillas in a separate pan or oven.

Assemble 🌯
Spread the meat mixture onto the flatbread. Add fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice for extra zest.
