Take the steaks to 125-130° internal on the smoker and finish in a screaming hot grill, 2 min on each side. Perfection.

Ummm did they get rubbed in finely ground coffee or something? Or are you one of those oddballs who uses food grade activated charcoal powder for a darker crust?

Everyone chill… it’s prob carnivore black rub that has activated charcoal in it…. Get those to 120 and then in a screaming hot cast iron pan for 45-60s a side 🤌🤌

Whoever hasn’t used hardcore carnivore black, it’s great. Does look like dirt though. 😂

  7. What did you season them with? They look black. Curious not a criticism. Hope they turn out good for you. As others said get it to temp and do a good hard sear for a crust

  8. Is the meat BLACK ANGUS? (Thank you, thank you. I’ll be here all week folks. Tip your waiters)

I think you have three different items on that grill that have three different cooking times.

  10. Never got the black/charcoal style rub trend, but thanks for the bacon wrapped jalapeño inspiration! Looks awesome!

Doesn’t activated charcoal give ya the poops?
