My girlfriends family sometimes has food wars where the birthday person picks the genre of food and everyone makes a dish with it. This birthday was just "bread" so it was a mix of appetizers, entrées, and desserts. I risked it with a new recipe and got my first win. Highly recommend this recipe:

Looks great! My grandma called this “bubble loaf”, but us kids misheard her so we called it “bubba loaf”. I have a handwritten recipe of it from my grandma (who has since passed). I’ve tried it several times with disappointing results. I’m convinced my grandmother made it completely by feel and wrote down what she thought might be the recipe. Needs tweaking!
