Another faux vortex cook using 2 sandwiched charcoal baskets
I'm assuming the vortex design results in less hot spots and charring, but this has been working for now. I might go check the Walmart clearance section for one of those $15 unicorn vortex finds that people have been posting.

I just cut the bottom out of a large stainless mixing bowl for mine. $12 if I remember right

I mean, the only difference between this and the vortex is it funnels the convective heat into a smaller exit diameter right? I wonder if some thick aluminum foil would do the trick.
