Me and my friend are low on money recently, but we feed over 40 stray cats every day, and cannot let them go hungry. During such times, when we don't have enough money for dry cat food, we cook chicken heads, skins, livers and meat from the legs, since these are the most affordable and nutritious parts. The recipe for them is also very simple: We put everything in a big pot of water, cook the meat for 20-30 minutes, and portion everything out. The food can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for a month – usually, though, the cats don't leave any leftovers😹

That’s a great idea, I did the math on my market and buying chicken is way cheaper than buying premium cat food, but I heard adding a bit of nutritional yeast (which is very cheap where I live, and you would only one table spoon for all that chicken) can add some more vitamins.

It also makes it tastier, whenever I open the pack it’s like opening a bag of treats
