Stopped by at DOLO restaurant and bar for lunch. It was great and fairly priced. Any dim sum spot do y’all recommend?

Triple Crown in Chinatown is a great experience
Wentworth Seafood House
I remember really enjoying dolo when I went with my girlfriend in the spring
Minghin
Dim Dim
Ming hin, but RIP to triple crown in Westmont 💔
Used to love Furama for a while but haven’t been back in a while, so idk if it’s changed much.
Love Dolo for large groups since they take reservations. Our favorite spot is Cai but go on a Saturday- it’s impossible to get a table without waiting at least 2 hours on a Sunday
Phoenix off Archer/Cermak
I second Minghin – I’m so lucky that I live around the corner from a place with spectacular soup dumplings. It’s dangerous.
Thanks for the great suggestions.
Great photos of your latest dim sum trip!!
New Furama and Triple Crown
Dolo/Minghin/Cai – went to Cai on Christmas and it definitely had improved over my last visit.
Phoenix if I’m in Chinatown, Furama if I’m around Argyle.
[Imperial](https://www.imperialchicago.com) is my favorite, with Dolo being second and Phoenix third. The dishes are always exceptionally fresh — I’ve had ingredients quality issues at Ming Hin in particular. Absolutely cannot recommend triple crown at all.
Asian food all tastes the exact same no matter where you get it. Its salty and disgusting
D Cuisine, the dim sum place inside 88 Market, Ming Hin and Cai are my go to.
Minghin is so authentic I thought they were a franchise of a popular chain in China (bifengtang). Cai & Triple Crown are both standard/pretty good, Phoenix is supposed to be the best + many mainlanders will go there but I thought it was on the same level as everyone else. In Lincoln Park, D Cuisine is pretty good but smaller menu. I don’t like Furama, their doughs are way too thick on their dimsum.
D cuisine is obviously best dim sum in chi hands down
are there any with good vegetarian options?
Chengdu impression, wicker park
Are there any dim sum places that hand make everything vs. heating up frozen premade?
Dolo!! And don’t sleep on the bakery items/fried items—their sesame balls and shrimp pork turnover were fried to perfection!
