I have adjusted everything and it sits perfect no gaps on the seal etc but there absolutely no way to close this gap, the top band is a low as it can go.

I don’t have the new style bands on my Egg (yet) but I think this is typical. If everything else lines up and nothing is loose I wouldn’t worry about it.
I reserve the right to be very wrong…

Kinda hard to diagnose what you have going on there without more comprehensive pictures…but no, I do not have that issue.

Can you post more pictures? Further back, please? Did you recently or ever upgrade from the old style to the new style hinge?
