This was a lovely bottle that I finally drank after a lot of searching, as it is not popular in my country.

The notes (I am furthest from an expert you can be) that I got were leather and some black fruits in the beginning that developed into some cherry and peppery-like notes with time. There was also some tabacco that I was able to sense after approximately 1 hour.

The impression I am left with is that the producer and the region itself is severely underrated and the fact that you can get that for less than 40 EUR in some places is mad lol.

    Cheers!

Tempier is a stellar producer! And at that price range I would buy all of it. Here, older vintages tend to hover around the 80 euro mark. Also makes one of the few roses I am willing to tolerate.

I’ve never had an aged Bandol, I’m sure this is a treat!

Kermit himself would say bandol rouge ages better than almost anything else
