Just got my seeds from BC. Any tips on growing any of these ? Anyone ever grown these Aji peppers ?

Aji charapita is actually a *C. chinense*, so you’ll find they’re similar to habaneros in regards to handling and growth.

The other Ajis are *C. baccatum*, which are a bit different. They germinate very fast and easily. As seedlings, there’s not much to pay attention to. But when you move them outside and they start to fruit, you’ll need to stake and tie them up very well. They’re very productive and their branches are much more flexible than those of other chili species, so they need support to not bend down to the ground. They are also more prone to diseases, so make sure to mulch your soil and not let them get too wet.

Nice haul! I picked up the chocolate 7 pot and peach ghost from bakers creek this year. 7 pot just started to germinate after 2 weeks. Good luck and happy planting!

If you like Charapita, we have a ton of crosses with it from r/pepperbreeding @ pepperbreeding.com

Slowly working towards a pink charapita but we got distracted by a ton of other traits.

Hmmm I haven’t come across an aji mango with that pod shape before. Different expressed phenotype or is it a completely different pepper?
