  1. Damn. Favourite cousin Italian but you have no clue on how to pronounce zucchini.
Even people from the states know how to say it properly

  2. There is something soothing about Marco Pieres voice and presence. He is like that old wise monk sensei living in a temple, up on top of a mountain, with the mountain wind gently blowing through his fu-man chu.

  3. My mums bubble & sqeek on a monday tea time was devine with cold roast beef or pork done in a black cast iron frying pan & served with bread & butter & HP brown sauce . Yummy xx

  4. Gotta love how Marco always pronounces his Italian with such emphasis, as if to make sure you hear him right, while getting every single sound unimaginably wrong. I'm not even Italian and it hurts my ears. Absolutely adore the man, though

  5. David Attenborough of food.
I can't tell what a pleasure it is to listen to this man and character. Such a wonderful human being, aside from all the jokes and knorr stock pot memes. It was his choice.

  6. Many moons ago I worked at a high end steak house in Philly. We had a very eccentric customer who would stop in for dinner once a week. He always ordered a filet mignon, well done, no char. Well how do you do that when all your steaks come off a 500°f+ broiler, dipped in burre blanc, re-fired real quick, and you do not sous vide anything? The microwave. Can't make this up and it was always heartbreaking. We nicknamed him "Sha-ping" as in the sound of the microwave going off when finished. He always loved it and at the end of the day, opinions aside, that's all that counts.

  7. Very different from the young rockstar chef he was. IF Darth Vader lived after RoTJ, I think he'd do the same thing Marco does now. "You need to take your time when chopping younglings. It intensifies the self hatred."
