Yeah, a lot of us prefer to make Ghirardelli box brownies. I make cakes from scratch, but the brownies are better from a box.

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who wasn’t impressed by these!

A++ brownie mix. Nothing better. Easy to glow up.

Add a tablespoon of espresso powder and dribble melted PB on top before putting it in the oven.

Try the King Arthur gluten free chocolate cake. We had to go gluten free for a bit, and discovered this cake mix. It’s absolutely delicious.

But have you tried THE brownies?

Box brownies will almost always be better than Homemade. It’s in a special category.

But you made brownies… Not a cake.

The cheaper Aldi brand brownie mix is miles better than this, and most other name brands. Just my opinion for future reference.

I’ve made cream cheese brownies with these and they were 🔥

I modify the recipe by replacing the water with heavy cream, adding a tsp of vanilla, an extra egg yolk, olive oil instead of vegetable oil, a bunch of extra chocolate chips and topping with flaky salt. The result is insanely rich and fudgy, it is AMAZING.

Fun fact. They do make a cake mix that is absolutely DIVINE. It is not easy to obtain though. Not anymore at least.

The Ghirardelli mixes are good but if your scratch brownies aren’t better then you need a new brownie recipe and/or better ingredients stat

Trader Joe’s truffle brownie mix is another absolute treasure, I always stock up when I visit TJs
My favorite brand of brownie mix! I sometimes add a layer of Andes mints

We listen, and we don’t judge.

I just baked the choclate supreme Ghirardelli brownies. ( I don’t like chocolate chips in my brownies.) I added salted roasted pecans. Soooooo good.

Those look perfectly moist and chewy 😋

This is my fave, too. Have a box in the cupboard right now.

After seeing people rave about this a few weeks ago, I bought a box and tried them out.. The brownies were ok. I much prefer my from-scratch brownies.
missdead_lee138
I was always a fan of these but I have to admit that when all the new ” Dolly Parton ” mixes came out, I tried the brownie mix and it is really really good. My kids prefer Dollys over the Ghirardelli. I think I might too. Highly recommend 👌 10/10

I use butter instead of oil then we just add whatever we want to it- PB chips, butterfinger, whatever. It’s just too easy. The same goes for waffle mix. Yes, I can make it, but why?
Maybe that’s what’s wrong with America lol. IDK.
Potential-Ad7601
I made the King Arthur fudgy brownies with spirit once and never looked back (after being a staunch Ghirardelli supporter for years)

You better not pie or cookie either.

I still haven’t had these, but now I have to make them!

Ghirardelli brownies are absolutely delicious!! I get the triple chocolate flavor 😃

Best darn brownies ever

i bake because i enjoy it, but the consensus seems to be that box is always better lol. i found a recipe that, in my humble opinion, tastes just like a box. i also found two others that members of my box-dedicated family have insisted are “the best brownies they’ve ever had” (i don’t take credit because they weren’t my recipe)

Except the Ghirardelli brownie mix has high amounts of lead. https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-safety/a-third-of-chocolate-products-are-high-in-heavy-metals-a4844566398/
I feel you, once you go Ghirardelli, it’s hard to go back.
This is the best box browner hands on. Delectable!
Very good brownies
I’ve been a pastry chef for over 20 years, and these are the only brownies I make at home.
😋these are the best I have baked thus far
Brownies are literally the only thing thats decent from a box. Most everything else is better scratch.
These are so delicious

I use boxes, occasionally. Mostly I like knowing what is in there.
The Preppy Kitchen brownies are a good recipe. Blooming the cocoa in the melted butter is delightful.
I just started doing this two weeks ago! NGL, the guilt was real at first. I haven’t used a box for anything in ages. But ATK said it was ok!
I do take the ATK suggestion and swap out the water for coffee.
Great Photo! I thought it was a promoted ad when I scrolled past it at first.
I sub out the water for milk, oil for browned butter, and then add espresso powder and a touch of vanilla. YUMM
