She is so incompetent it hurts, her knife is so dull and she refuses to sharpen it and this is what she deems acceptable to prep for me when I take over.

Yeah the prep probably says, “prep a third pan” so she sees this as a faster, lazier way to knock it out smh

Have you suggested she use a serated bread knife or meat slicer?

AM cook needs to lay off the sauce before shift

A shaper knife or fresher fruit may help get a more consistent thickness

Love when people who refuse to do their job right make it everyone else’s problem.

I have a cook that has only worked with us (18 years old) He used do these cuts and we used to call the sandwiches
tomatonators ,I did show him how to cut them every week until he got the skills to manage his knife properly 🔥

Why doesn’t the manager get involved. This is how the consumer receives the tomatoes on her shift. I hate how hacks take up space of more competent people who could do the job much better… I love the day shift.

I got an old cook with beginning stages of Parkinson’s. His look like this, so we generally try to have someone else do any knife work for him.

Did they use a poorly trained beaver or marmot to cut those instead of a knife?

I am a normie. I just sliced many tomatoes to beautiful thin slices to top my fresh made bagels. This is absurd that a person would pay money to be served this incompetence.

Lol is no one doing stages to judge a line cook’s skill anymore?
