this is different from judging a steak made by one of us meat nerds. this is a grandma making a loving meal for her grandson and trying to make them happy. when my grandma was around she cooked steaks well done covered them with sauce, which was the opposite of how i would make them for myself. but i ate the whole thing and enjoyed them every time because she was making that for me because she knew i liked steak and wanted me to have a meal that was special to me. looking at this steak, sure it could have a way better crust, but it doesn’t matter. it is special in another way, i’m glad you enjoyed it and i hope you can enjoy many more loving meals from her
