Hi, I'm from the Philippines. I love miyeok jjulgi and started to learn how to cook it in June 2024. I tried to sell it locally and had good responses. Now I need like 30kg for an order for an event that will happen in our country.

I have pickled it also and lewrned water batch canning. I even registered my business here.

I have bought all the stocks in local korean marts and have searched online. now I have only 2 weeks to get stocks. Am I doomed?

Also the korean marts here do not want me to order in advance from them. I would like to understand why or if I am missing something. I cook this in big batches and sell it and have been getting huge success locally. I think they think I am reselling the packs itself. Any insight on how to approach korean store owners about this? I would love to get a steady supplier of this (or any other brqnd seaweed stem).

This place seems to be the official distributor for the PI, but they may be too big to sell to small fry. Maybe they can at least point you to a wholesaler near you? Since you have a business license, technically the local wholesaler shouldn’t have a problem with adding you to their customer list.
