I had planned on making these (not my photo) ~ but I’m concerned bc after watching the tutorial the “pie crust” is made with royal icing. I’ve made RI sugar cookies for several years and a cardinal rule is to not put them in the refrigerator. But I also know macarons need to cure in the fridge. Has anyone made anything like this? Any other ideas on what to use on the top? Or other cherry 🍒 macarons that you’d like to share photos of? Thanks!

    I added royal icing to mine for Christmas. I put it on after having them in the fridge for 2 days.
