Basbusa

Ingredients

1- Egg = 2
2- Sugar = 1/3+1/3 Cup
3- Thick Yoghurt = 1 Cup
4- Oil = 1/2 Cup
5- Butter = 4 tbsp
6- Vanilla powder = 1 tsp
7- Semolina = 2 Cup
8- Crushed coconut = ½ Cup
9- Baking Powder = 1 tsp
10- Salt = pinch

Instruction

– Crack eggs into a bowl
– Add oil, melted butter and yoghurt
– Mix well with a hand whisker
– Then add sugar, ,salt, vanilla powder, baking powder crushed coconut and semolina
– Mix well
– Cover the mixture for 10-15 minutes
– Grease a dish with butter or oil
– Pour the cake mixture into the dish
– Tap the dish
– Cut the mixture into square shapes using a knife
– Place the almonds, pistachios, or any other topping on each square
– Pour 2 tbsp melted butter
– Bake for 30 to 35 minutes on 180C
– Pout the syrup immediately after it comes out of the oven
– Rest for 15 minutes

Ingredients(Syrup)

1- Sugar = 1+½ Cup
2- Water = 1 Cup
3- Lemon = 1 Slice

Instructions

– Add sugar and water to a pan
– Bring it to a boil 3–4 times
– Add lemon slices to the mixture
– Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
– Enjoy
