It’s Bourbon Chicken, right? Not [Bourbons Chicken](https://www.heinz.com/recipes/bourbons-chicken). That’s plural and for a 1/4 cup of bourbon, you don’t need plurality like the Heinz web devs think you do. Especially since this recipe is connected to Bourbon Street.
Anywho, this recipe is almost similar to u/HungAndInLove’s Slow Cooker [Bourbon Street Chicken](https://redd.it/45b6sd) recipe so if you want to cook it slowly, you have an option to do so.
I love recipes like this because it generally consists of a bunch of ingredients you likely have lying around the house. I was going to burn through a bunch of old ketchup and soy packets for this last night until I realized I don’t have any bourbon. I have whiskey but as we all know, all bourbons are whiskeys but not all whiskeys are bourbons.
Edit: Heinz screwed up the recipe on their site by putting brown sugar on twice. Only put 1/4 cup in. This is a sweet recipe and you dont need it sweeter. I can’t change the imgur page so I apologize and dont blame you if you want to downvote this post.

There’s really no need for the Italian dressing

Looked in my pantry and I didnt have enough packets of ketchup for the recipe so I had to go shopping and I have an exact total for you guys of how much it cost me.
* garlic $0.79 * Smart way Ketchup $0.99 * kroger brand soy sauce $1.49 * kroger brand canned chicken broth $0.79 * kraft dressing $1.57 * smart way 100% apple cider vinegar $1.49 * 1.38lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs $6.89 * kroger light brown sugar bag $2.59 * Jim beam bourbon shot $1.00 * green onions $0.69
Total $18.29
Most people however have many if not all of these ingredients in their cupboard and if not, will have plenty left for the next time they should decide to make something else using these common ingredients.
