$7.50 st Elmos Kolsch, $6 gumbo (HH price), $20 blackened catfish on greens.

Everything was soooo good. Gumbo was out of this world. Catfish meat was a little small, but flavorful and the salad was dressed lightly. Customers service was outstanding.

$40 including tip for this…. I’m sorry, but dang that hurt.

Have they moved into their expanded space yet? They said it would happen in January last time I was there but I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes longer.

So to summarize – good food, good service, but smallish portions and overpriced. Honestly that’s what I’ve been hearing. Neighbors went and dropped almost $150 on a weekend date night and didn’t even try that hard.

I’m sorry that you’ve never eaten proper creole/cajun, cher.

I hear you. I like the food as well but the price is kind of steep. That’s how I feel about almost every restaurant downtown though. The only place I eat out at anymore is Pollo Rico lol

I wonder if they have metal toilets, too.

I went for my birthday a few weeks ago and left satisfied, as always. I got catfish on greens bc it was the only thing I haven’t tried. The fritters, beignets and gumbo were all great, as usual.

Only gripe I had with my Friday night experience was there was no special, and with the menu being super limited, you really have to be in the mood for fried chicken, a poboy or catfish on greens.
