Stuffing, also known as dressing, is typically made of herbs with bread, vegetables and sometimes meat, such as tofu, sausage or oysters.

While many may stuff their turkeys with dressing while roasting the bird, the U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends otherwise. The practice increases the risk of cross-contamination and requires a longer cooking time for the turkey.
If you’re set on cooking your stuffing inside a piece of food, perhaps try putting your dressing in bell peppers, empanadas, mushrooms or tomatoes.
