Poor man Vortex (really just want to see in-person before buying… soldout)
Yup that is a $2 disposable 3 QT pan with bottom cut out. Worked really well. Titles says the rest. Can't find a store in town that has one in stock.

I was surprised that they make much difference. That said, they 100% aren’t worth list price and I never would have bought one if I hadn’t found it on clearance at Walmart.

My first one was a stainless steel bowl with the bottom cutout. Used it for 2 years before it rusted out then got the name brand one. Buy it from their website and you get a bottle of seasoning and a koozie with it.

Get the off brand vortex on Amazon for 20$. It’s just a piece of sheet metal fasted together in a cone.

Amazon! Original Vortex is made from stainless steel and comes in small, medium and large sizes. If you have a 22”, you’ll want a medium.
