Finally decided to take my deficit seriously, should I make any changes with this? I was told the rice and taco seasoning isn’t good.

Don’t strive for perfection, just make small sustainable changes. This is a great start!

This looks great! Taco seasoning is weirdly calorific (I guess it has sugar and, like, corn meal in it), so I have sort of a base pantry of spices (garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, smoked paprika) that I use instead, and it ends up tasting way better and I can calibrate it to my tastes. You can also buy different spice mixes too that give you different vibes.
Rice is fine! You need carbs. Don’t be afraid of a little fat either. Hot sauces are your friends for when things get boring (but they’re not necessarily 0 calories, depending on how much you use).
Meal prep is KEY for me, but know your limits too. If you’re not the type of person who can eat the same food 3-4 days in a row without getting bored and binge-y, try cooking a couple different proteins and veggies so you can mix it up throughout the week. You got this!

Embrace brown rice as a substitute for white. It has higher fiber and fewer calories.

looks great! don’t give up the seasoning it’ll be so sad without it lol. 30 calories is “unexpected” for seasoning, but this is an under 400 cal meal, i don’t think it’s an issue. i also personally recommend baking the broccoli till it charrs a bit on top- gives is way better falvor. a lot of people getting into diets and calorie counting get a bit hyper-obsessive and try to substitute everything, but pay them no mind. this is the most classic bodybuilder meal ive literally ever seen in my life.

I wouldn’t stress out in the future if you go crazy with spices to make your food taste better. I don’t count them personally. You can make your own spice blend, too.

This is one of my “go to” meals. I also sub out the rice for a baked sweet potato. Good luck on your journey OP!
