Buy Fresh Buy Local Cape Cod and Cape Cod Cooperative Extension presents you with three methods for preparing and cooking fresh, delicious Cape Cod oysters. If you’re not able to eat raw oysters; if you would like to try something different instead of the same old raw oysters on the half-shell; if you’re looking for a new appetizer next time you need one for a party– try one of these easy, quick recipes. We also show you how to clean oysters, then quickly and easily open them using your oven instead of with an oyster knife.

This video was made possible through funding provided by Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR).

These recipes feature oven safe ceramic oyster trays made by local artists: Gratitude Juice, Bass River Pottery, and New Bedford Pottery.

These recipes and more can be found at buyfreshbuylocalcapecod.org.
